Grace Irene (Miller) Boehm

Grace Irene (Miller) Boehm passed away peacefully at the Masonic Home in Alma, Ml on March 4, 2019. She was 95 years old. 3-8-19 OBIT Boehm

Grace was born on April 30, 1923, in Bernville, PA. She married the love of her life, Willard Boehm, on October 12, 1940, in Elkton, MD.

Grace proudly served in the United States Marine Corps during WWII.

Grace and Willard relocated to Michigan in the late 1940s. She retired from Fisher Body (Ternstedt) in 1983 after 30 years of employment. Grace spent the remainder of her life in Clare County and was an active member of the community.

She served as a volunteer for the Farwell public schools, Hospice, and Mid Michigan Medical Center in Clare. She enjoyed traveling and was Instrumental in organizing trips across the United States and internationally.

Grace was an active member of the Farwell United Methodist Church. Grace was tireless in giving back to her community.

Grace was proceeded in death by her parents Jacob Miller and Annie (Derr) Miller of Berks County, PA, her 12 brothers and sisters, and her loving husband of 69 years, Willard.

She is survived by her only daughter Barbara Johnson of Clio, Ml; her two grandsons, Gary Dubisky and his wife Georgina of Gastonia, NC, and Daryl Dubisky and his wife Sue of Ypsilanti, Michigan; her six beloved great-grandchildren, Corey Dubisky, Ashton Dubisky and his wife Paige, Karina Dubisky, Bronwyn Dubisky, Zachary Dubisky, and Gordon Dubisky; and her many nieces and nephews in various parts of the country. . A funeral service will be held on Saturday, March 9, 2019 at 1PM at the Campbell-Stocking Funeral Home in Farwell. Pastor Connie Bongard will officiate. Family and friends may visit from 11 until the time of service at 1PM. Grace’s family wishes to specially recognize the kindness, loyalty, and dedication of her dear friend, Jane Sartor-Key of Clare, Ml over the years. Finally, Grace’s family wishes to thank all of her caregivers at the Masonic Home in Alma, Ml and to the Masons for upholding their fraternal pledge to their brother, Willard. Donations in memory of Grace may be made to Hospice of Mid Michigan.
