Jean H. Sewell, 64 of Lake, Michigan died peacefully at her home on March 30, 2013 after an extensive struggle with cancer. Jean was born September 20th 1948 in Glasgow, Scotland to Matthew and Elizabeth (Houston) Fraser.
On April 4th, 1977 Jean married the love of her life David Sewell and they enjoyed 36 years of marriage together.
Jean thoroughly enjoyed her family and friends. She worked side by side with her husband David for many years first as owners of Jimmy’s Pizza and later building crafts and traveling to craft shows.
Jean is survived by her husband David Sewell of Lake, MI; children, Stanley Skornicka Jr. and his wife Jessi of Eden Valley, MN, Matthew Skornicka and his wife Mea of Lake George, MI, James Skornicka and his wife Linda of Ypsilanti, MI, Christopher Skornicka and his wife Sara of Lake, MI, and Amy Sewell of Lake, MI; grandchildren, Matthew, Patrick, Cortney, Alexis, Matthew, Chandler, Danielle, Megan, Wyatt, Nickolas, Kyle, Riley, & William; great-grandchildren, Christopher, Ethan, Karissa & Ella and numerous loving friends and relatives.
Jean is preceded in death by her parents and grandparents.
The family wishes to thank all those who cared for Jean during her illness. A celebration of her life is planned for April 6th. The service will be at Bethany Baptist Church on Saturday the 6th at 1:00 p.m.
