Lori Ann Shively

8-8-14 OBIT ShivelyLori Ann Shively, age 45, of Cadillac, (formerly of Clare) passed away on Friday, July 25, at University of Michigan Hospital in Ann Arbor. She was born the daughter of Richard and Carol (Richardson) Shively on August 7, 1968, in Mt. Pleasant. Lori received a Master’s of Health Care Systems in Administration degree from the University of Michigan in 2007, and was currently the Chief Financial Officer of Mercy Hospital in Cadillac and Grayling. She was also active on the Board of Directors for Listening Ear and HFMA Great Lakes Chapter. She had previously been employed by MidMichigan Health Systems in Clare and more recently in Midland. Lori enjoyed wind surfing, quilting, snowmobiling, and driving race cars or anything else that would go fast.

Survivors include her parents, Richard “Dick” (Susan ) Shively of Clare and Carol Richardson of Farwell, her brothers, Timothy Shively of Perry, Dan (Laurie) Shively of Clare, nieces and nephews, Jeremiah (April) Shively, Cristie Lee Shively, Nicholas Ryan Shively, Salim Walker Shively, Aliana Marrah Shively, Aaron Matthew Olson, Stephanie Lynn Olson, grand nephews, Clayton Wayne and Joseph James Shively. Also surviving are her “extended family” Larry, Anna, and Logan Pelch, Joy Lynn Moore, Nicholas Moore and Ashley Moore and her Mercy Hospital family of Cadillac and Grayling.

In keeping with Lori’s wishes, cremation has taken place and a memorial service was held celebrating her life on Sunday, August 3, 2014, at 2:00 PM at the home of Richard Shively, 7651 Shively Ln., Lake Shively, Clare, Michigan, 48617. Rev. Isabell Deppe officiated. Memorials in Lori’s honor may be made to Mercy Hospital Foundation Cancer Center http://mercycadillac.com  or Listening Ear www.listeningear.com.
