3-22-13OBITScozzari, May PhyllisMay Phyllis Scozzari- age 90, passed away on Friday, March 15, 2013, at Mid-Michigan Regional Medical Center in Clare. A funeral service is planned for Tuesday, Mar 19, 2013 at 11AM at the Campbell-Stocking Family Funeral Home in Farwell.

Joanne Dana, Pastoral minister, St. Cecilia Catholic Church, will officiate. Friends may visit on Monday from 2-4 and 6-8PM.

Phyllis was born on May 5, 1922, the daughter of Emile and Violet (Dale) Renaud in Pointe-Claire Quebec, Canada. She married Salvatore Scozzari in New York City, NY in June of 1943. Together they raised eight children. Phyllis, who was known as “Toppy” by her friends and family, was a homemaker and Mom, and enjoyed her membership and friendships with her Red Hat Ladies.

She loved to drink tea every day in her beautiful bone china teacups. The water had to be boiled, not micro waved. She always had a bird feeder and adored watching her birds. She could identify all the different species and she enjoyed watching all the animals that came to the feeder. Toppy loved being surrounded by nature especially the flowers in her gardens. She loved to read and was exceptionally good at doing crossword puzzles.

She will be forever remembered for her brownies and peanut butter cookies. She is survived by her beloved husband of almost 70 years, Sal, three sons; Michael Scozarri and wife Pam of Center Line, Steven Scozzari and wife Dawn of Lake Orion, Salvatore Scozzari II and wife Renee of Harrison Twp., three daughters; Dale Ann Campbell and husband Keith of Charlotte NC, Judith Pace and husband John of Queens Creek, AZ, Bunny Mashione and husband Michael of Frankfort, IL eighteen grandchildren, ten great-grandchildren, and a sister Rita Smiley of Vancouver BC, Canada.

She was preceded in death by a son William Scozzari, a daughter Sally Scozzari, four brothers and three sisters. Please share your memories and condolences online at
