Natalie J. Reeve

(Clapper) Reeve, 83, Clare, formerly of Oscoda, entered eternal life Friday, March 20, 2015 with loving family by her side.  Born in Chester, Michigan on September 21, 1931.  Natalie married Robert G. Reeve on October 4, 1948 at the Vermontville Farm of her in-laws, Gladys and Rayner Reeve.  Together she and Bob raised their family of seven children in various locations due to Bob’s career in the Air Force.  They spent time in Michigan, Wisconsin, Minnesota, Illinois, Germany and Bermuda.  After Bob’s retirement, they set up a home in Clare for many years, then moved to Oscoda until Bob›s death in May, 2012.  Natalie then returned to Clare for her last year to be closer to her family.  Prior to moving to Oscoda, Natalie worked for many years as a waitress at the Lone Pine Restaurant in Clare, and she and Bob worked together to deliver the Detroit News throughout Clare County.

Natalie is survived by her two sisters, Norma Hummel, and Neva Hokanson, and six children, Claudia (Dennis) Marr, Dennis (Sue) Reeve, Barb Pulcifer, Larry (Tammy) Reeve, Brian Reeve, and Tod (Tonia) Reeve.  She also leaves behind 15 grandchildren, and 16 great grandchildren.  Natalie was proceeded in death by her husband of 63 years, Robert, as well as her sister Naomi Newcomb and her son Cris Edward Reeve.

In keeping with Natalie’s wishes cremation has taken place with no services planned.  Memorial donations can be made to Woodland Hospice of Mt. Pleasant.  Arrangements were handled by the Clare Chapel of Stephenson-Wyman Funeral Home.  On-line guestbook at www.stephenson-Wyman.com
