She enjoyed being a 4-H leader alongside of her husband. She and Dave were also very active in the Methodist Church and serving the Lord.  Carol Lynn’s passions included music, camping and watching the Tigers.  She enjoyed all types of crafts, cooking and entertaining. She loved to travel and worked as a tour escort for Phillips Travel Agency in South Lyon.

In 1986 Carol Lynn decided to pursue a degree at CMU and during this time she was diagnosed with her first brain tumor. This life altering experience led her to pursue her Master’s Degree in Ministry at Garrett Evangelical Theological Seminary.

After obtaining her Masters in 1992 she became an ordained Minister, and served at the North Evart United Methodist Church.
