Ronald Allan Miske
Passed away Wednesday, April 3, 2013 at his residence, age 80. Ronald was born April 13, 1932 in Lansing, Michigan the son of George and Gertrude (Morris) Miske. He was drafted into the Army in 1952 during the Korean Confl ict and was honorably discharged in 1954. Ronald was united in marriage to the former Linda Shattuck on August 19, 1955 in Wacousta, Michigan. He worked for 10 years at DHIA (Dairy Herd Improvement Association) and then went into farming until he retired.
Ron was a member of the Game Breeders Association of Michigan and enjoyed hunting and fi shing. He will be dearly missed. Ronald is survived by his loving wife of 57 years, Linda, 2 sons; Bryan Scott (Teena) Miske of Beaverton and Ronald Lee Miske of Harrison, very dear friends that were considered additional children; Roger and Connie Hackworth of Harrison, 6 grandchildren; Elizabeth (Matthew) Rumfelt of Cherry Point, NC, Jeffrey (Christie) Miske of Saucier, MS, George (Susan) Miske of Harrison, MI, Annie (Chris) Ryder of Hart, MI, C. W. Miske of Harrison, MI, and Angel Miske of Clare, MI, 12 greatgrandchildren; 3 sisters; Kathryn Miske, Pattie Lee and Jenny (Dwayne) Wheat, 2 sisters in-law; Karin and Kay Miske and brother in-law; Fred Williams. Ronald was preceded in death by his parents, 4 brothers; Gilbert “Doc”, George, Donny and Eugene and a sister; Karel Williams. Funeral service to take place Saturday, April 6, 2013 at 2:00 p.m. from Stocking Funeral Home, with Rev. Henry List offi ciating. Military honors will be conducted under the auspices of the American Legion Post 404. Visitation will also take place on Saturday from 12:00 noon until the time of service.
