Wanda Gene Seelhoff, beloved mother, grandmother, and friend, was called home by her Heavenly Father November 29, 2013. Wanda was 84 years old. Wanda was born November 13, 1929 in Independence Missouri, daughter of the late Jacob “Frank” and Ruby Martin. She had lived in Paris, Tennessee in her youth then in Detroit, Michigan. She spent most of her life in Clare, Michigan where she raised 3 daughters and helped raise many grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Wanda was well known for her fun sense of humor, her delicious cornbread, her love for children, and her love for the Lord. She always had a funny story to tell or a piece of advice to give. Wanda had worked for CMU for many years in housekeeping and the cafeteria. She was a lifelong member of the Reorganized Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints (Community of Christ). She had donated to Outreach International for over 25 years and also recently to Operation Smile. Wanda was the beloved mother of Patsy (Bob) Ramsay of Rochester Hills, Linda (John) Campbell of Lake Station, and the late Yvette Goodeman, and the late Yvonne Wade. She is further survived by many grandchildren and great-grandchildren and friends. Wanda will be greatly missed, but has left her family and friends with many wonderful memories.
Funeral services will take place Saturday, December 7, 2013 at the Community of Christ Church, 484 E. Main Street, Farwell, MI and a dinner to follow at the Eagle Church of God, 7087 E. Dover Road, Clare, MI. The family will be welcoming guests beginning at 11 a.m. and the funeral will begin at noon.
