Dominic Obregon, 28, of Harrison, is facing drug charges after he fled, rather than stopping for police.
A Clare County Deputy attempted to stop Obregon for littering. He was observed throwing something from the window of his black 1995 Chevy Camaro near Maplewood in Hayes Township Sunday afternoon around 3:30 p.m.

He refused to stop and fled from the Deputy, reported throwing drugs out of the vehicle.
He was arrested after he pulled into his driveway, according to a release from Undersheriff Dwayne Miedzianowski.
The release said Obregon was “suspected of operating while intoxicated by drugs. Deputies recovered the drugs believed to be meth that were thrown from the vehicle.”

Obregon is currently on probation with the Michigan Department of Corrections.
The Clare County Prosecutor’s office charged Obregon with possession of meth, 2nd offense; controlled substance use; flee and elude [officers]; and with operating while intoxicated, 2nd offense.

He was arraigned in 80th District Court by Magistrate Karen Willing who set his bond at $200,000 cash/surety.
He remains lodged in the Clare County Jail.
