Paisley arrested, allegedly had weed valued at $100K

A rural Clare man was arraigned  In Isabella County Monday on drug charges, having a drug house and a felony firearm violation.

Thomas Robert Paisley, 51, was arrested last Sunday after police received a tip about the man’s home on East Bawkey Road in Isabella County’s Wise Township.

Undercover officers from the Bay Area Narcotics Enforcement team  served a search warrant on the home March 23. The house is located on the dead-end road just south of Business U.S. 10 and just west of Loomis.

Officers found 48.7 pounds of processed marijuana at the residence with a street value estimated at around $100,000, according to information from BAYANET Detective Lt. Marvin Jenkins. Twenty-four marijuana plants worth about $10,000, $1,805.00 in cash, six rifles and one handgun were also seized.

Paisley was arraigned by Magistrate Sandra Straus and charged with two counts of delivery/manufacture of marijuana , one count of maintaining a drug house and with felony firearms. His bond was set at $40,000. He was released on bond.

BAYANET officers were assisted at the scene by State Police troopers and tracking dog from the Mt. Pleasant post and troopers from St. Louis.
