Veterans Freedom Park is proud to announce that on Monday, May 6, 2013 we were presented with our first official grant for $9,000 from Tamara Howell with TransCanada! TransCanada’s role in the Veterans Freedom Park is consistent with their aim to build healthy, safe and vibrant communities where their employees live and work. Thanks to the financial support from companies like TransCanada, park supporters are moving closer to their mission of building a veterans park to honor our nation’s greatest heroes; this park will be a valuable community asset providing commemorative history and a beautiful park for all to enjoy.

“Partnering with Veterans Freedom Park is a natural fit for TransCanada because it builds on our existing support for our military veterans through the Helmets to Hardhats Canada program,” says Tamara Howell, Great Lakes Saginaw Valley Operations at TransCanada. “We are proudly supporting men and women who have served their country with bravery and honor.”
