Clare Police Chief Dwayne Miedzianowski, on administrative leave since July 28 because of allegations related to a drug investigation, has been cleared of any wrongdoing, according to an email from City Manager Ken Hibl Thursday.
Hibl said Gladwin county Prosecutor, Aaron Miller, had notified him that “No charges are being authorized.”
Miller said he would be submitting a detailed response.
It was the second administrative leave for the Chief. The last week of July he was cleared of a kidnapping charge made by his ex-wife after he picked up an ill daughter from a camping trip with grandparents at Houghton Lake.
Last week Hibl had lifted the leave and put the chief back to work with restrictions. Those restrictions now have been lifted completely.
