Last Sunday two men robbed the Shell Gas Station on Mission Street in Mt. Pleasant and escaped with an undisclosed amount of money, Mt. Pleasant Police Public Information Officer Jeff Brown said in a release Wednesday.

The robbery happened around 3:16 a.m. at the station at 718 Mission Street, the release said.  Officers interviewed the night clerk who gave a description of the suspects. They are described as two black males.

The first has a thin build and is about 5 foot six inches to 5 foot 8 inches tall. He was wearing a white ski mask and dark clothes with a dark hooded sweatshirt.
The clerk said the first suspect “acted as if he had a gun in his possession, but never mentioned a weapon or showed it.”

The second suspect was described as the same height at the first, also with a slender build. He was wearing a black face mask, a light colored hooded sweatshirt and clothes and red shoes.

The release said, “This robbery investigation is open and the police department needs the community’s help. If you have any information, please contact the Mt. Pleasant Police Department at 989-779-5100, Central Dispatch 989-773-1000, or the tip line at 989-779-9111.”
