Roe named Harrison Valedictorian- Sigafoose, Wright named 2013 Salutatorians

The Harrison Class of 2013 will feature a Valedictorian and two co-Salutatorians.
Sonia Roe has been named Valedictorian and Salutatorians will be Tyler Sigafoose and Olivia Wright.

Sonia is the daughter of Austin and Peggy Roe.  She has a younger sister Alice and a younger brother Ross.

During Sonia’s four years at Harrison High School she has participated in  National Honor Society, Student Council, Art Club, Spanish Club, and Improv  Club.  During, her senior year she served as president of the National Honor Society.  Sonia has worked with the Red Cross Blood Drive, Walk for Warmth, Project Kids Christmas, volunteered with elementary kids programs, homemade pie sales, and recycling through the National Honor Society.  In the community, Sonia has volunteered at the Clare county Baby Pantry and is active in her church. Sonia works with SPARKS after school as a tutor.   Sonia was dual enrolled with Mid Michigan Community College, during her junior and senior years.

Sonia has received many awards throughout her time in high school. She has been awarded three academic letters, the title of student of the month, Jackpine All Academic-All Conference 1st Team, HOBY representative, National Youth Leadership State Conference,  Phi Theta Kappa at Mid Michigan Community College, and is graduating with highest honors.

After graduation, Sonia plans to attend Saginaw Valley University to pursue a degree in English as a second language.  Sonia has been awarded the Presidential Scholarship from SVSU.

Tyler is the son of Joshua Sigafoose and (Sherri Sigafoose) and Kristina Noble and (Richard Noble).  His siblings include Andrew Sigafoose, Tori Erskine, Brittanie Erskine, Zach Erskine, Randy Noble, Danielle Noble, Dalton Noble, Royce Noble, and a new sister on the way.

During Tyler’s four years at Harrison High School he has participated in  National Honor Society, Track, Cross Country, and Students of Promise.  During, his senior year he served as vice-president of the National Honor Society.  Tyler has worked with the Red Cross Blood Drive, Walk for Warmth, Project Kids Christmas, elementary kids programs, homemade pie sales, and recycling through the National Honor Society.    Tyler was dual enrolled with Mid Michigan Community College, during his junior and senior years.

Tyler has received many awards throughout his time in high school. He has been awarded three academic letters, the title of student of the month, Lawrence Tech Math & Science Award, Jackpine All Academic-All Conference 1st team, and is graduating with highest honors.

After graduation, Tyler plans to attend Michigan Tech University to pursue a degree in mechanical engineering.  Tyler has been awarded the Presidential Scholar of Distinction and the University Student Award.

Olivia is the daughter of Mark and Norma Wright.  She has two sisters Natalie and Mary and a brother Wesley.

During Olivia’s four years at Harrison High School she has participated in  National Honor Society, and Improv  Club.  Olivia has worked with the Red Cross Blood Drive, Walk for Warmth, Project Kids Christmas, volunteered with elementary kids programs, food distribution, homemade pie sales, and recycling through the National Honor Society.  Olivia was dual enrolled with Mid Michigan Community College, during her senior year.

Olivia has received many awards throughout her time in high school. She has been awarded three academic letters, the title of student of the month, Jackpine All Academic-All Conference 2nd team, and is graduating with highest honors.

After graduation, Olivia plans to attend Eastern Michigan University to pursue a degree in creative writing.
