This past Saturday, Clare County 4-H members, leaders and parents were busy up at the Clare County Fairground preparing for the arrival of the many animals that will be on display. Cages needed to be cleaned, stalls put up and sawdust laid. The 4-H Food Stand needed to be stocked as well as the Milk Barn, which will provide cool tasty treats for visitors to enjoy. 4-H events will begin Sunday at 3:00 p.m. with the dog show. The popular attraction at the dog show is dog agility. There will also be a cat show at 5:00 p.m. On display will be rabbits, cavy, goats, chickens, sheep, lambs, cows and horses. If you see an animal you like you can come to the 4-H auctions and place a bid. The Large Animal auction will be on Thursday at 5:00 p.m. and the Small Animal Auction on Thursday at Noon. Come on out and see the animals and take time to also enter the home arts building where you will see many 4-H projects. Kids enter projects such as baked goods, sewing, photography writing, woodworking, canning and more.
