Harrison girl’s track head coach Dick Harris is hoping the weather doesn’t hinder his squad’s chances at a good season.

“The girls are working hard but it is diffi cult to judge progress when you are stuck in the gym and unable to get outdoors on the track because of the weather,” Harris said.

Seniors returning to the team are Rae Bundoff, Brooke Colville (state qualifi er in 100 and 300 hurdles), Erica Heckman, Kayla McKenna, Olivia Sharp and Brianna Conner. Other returnees are Katelyn Sherrick, Kourtney Krchmar, Christine Mason, Stephanie Prince and Alexis West.

“We also have sever girls out for the fi rst time and we will be looking forward to watching their progress,” Harris said. “As usual, the Jack Pine Conference should be very competitive and we will work hard to compete.” Harrison opens its season tonight (Friday) at Standish-Sterling and host Evart on April 15.

Preview info for the boy’s team was not provided at press time.
