The Farwell softball team couldn’t keep its season going on Saturday, falling to St. Charles 8-6 in the division three semi-finals in Pinconning.
The Lady Bulldogs scored three runs in the first inning but the Lady Eagles responded with four of their own to lead 4-3 after one.
St. Charles scored two more runs in the top of the third to lead 5-4, though Farwell took the lead back with two more runs in the bottom of the fifth.
The Bulldogs tied the game at 6-6 in the top of the seventh and added a two-run homer later in the frame to pull ahead 8-6 in what was the difference in the game.
Kate Saupe suffered the complete game loss for the Eagles, giving up five earned runs on eight hits, eight strikeouts and two walks.
Farwell finishes the season 19-11.
