Four area bowlders traveled to Airport Lanes in Jackson on Saturday, to compete in the division three individual finals, with Harrison junior Quincy Jones placing the highest of the four, coming in 35th.
Jones rolled a 173 in his first game, followed that up with a 217, 147, 195, 154 and 167 to finish with a six-game series of 1053.
Fellow Hornet Chase Howey, a sophomore, placed 47th, with a six game total of 998. Howey started the day with a 156, then rolled a 151, followed by a 148, 201, 175 and 167.
In the girl’s finals, Katheryn Warner, a senior for Clare placed 48th.
She started the day with a 157 and followed that with scores of 123, 105, 189, 167 and 221 to finish with a total pin-fall of 962.
Junior Toni Boyd of Farwell finisehd 55th, knocking over a total of 918 pins in her six games. Boyd started with a game of 162, then rolled games of 138, 147, 176, 144 and 151.
