The second and third quarters cost the Harrison Lady Hornets a chance to pick up a Jack Pine Conference win at Roscommon on Thursday, Jan. 24 as Harrison fell 43-30.
The Lady Bucks led just 9-7 after the first quarter but held Harrison to just two points in the second to lead 16-9 at the half. Roscommon pulled away with a 21-9 scoring edge in the third quarter, leading 37-18 entering the fourth.
Harrison had its best frame in the fourth, outscoring Rosco 12-6 but were unable to get back into the game.
Hillary Brewer had eight points and four rebounds to lead Harrison, Erica Heckman had six points, three rebounds and two assists, Olivia Sharp and Allison Lipovsky both had four points with Lipovsky adding three boards. Brooke Colville and Jessica Scherrer both netted three, with Colville adding two steals and an assist. Katelynn Sherrick put in two points, four rebounds and two steals.
Harrison (4-10 overall, 2-7 JPC) had its home game against Clare on Tuesday, postponed and will be made up tomorrow (Saturday). The Lady Hornets hosted Farwell last night and play at Coleman on Monday.
