William Sexton, Jr. plead guilty Monday to two counts of Criminal Sexual Conduct in the third degree. He is scheduled to be sentenced November 5 at 11 a.m.

Sexton, 64, was arrested March 22 when the Clare County Sheriff’s Department investigated a complaint that he had sexually assaulted two children over a period of several years.

CSC 3rd Degree carries a maximum sentence of up to 15 years in prison.

He was arraigned March 26 in 80th District Court on four counts of CSC in the first degree and two counts of CSC in the second degree and was held on a $1 million bond “because of the seriousness of the offenses,” Clare County Prosecutor Michelle Ambrozaitis said after the initial arraignment.
