11-27-15 First snow in Clare Nov 22, 2015

People all over mid and lower Michigan woke up Sunday morning to a winter wonderland, a fitting beginning to the holiday season this year.

In Clare about three inches of the fluffy white stuff blanketed trees, lawns, fields and bushes, and the snow cover has lasted through part of the week so far. This storm hit hardest in the southern part of Michigan with southwest communities receiving between nine and twelve inches, while the northernmost part of Michigan received much less.

AccuWeather.com forecasts for the weekend, as of Tuesday afternoon, were for temperatures in the high 30s and low 40s and after some rain on Thanksgiving Day, clearer weather, some sunshine and finally more snow flurries beginning December 1.
