Clare volleyball spikes Bullock Creek

The Clare volleyball team hosted Bullock Creek in an early season match on Monday, Aug. 26. The Lady Pioneers were able to shut down the Lady Lancers, earning a straight sets non-league victory 25-23, 25-23 and 25-19.

“Student section was amazing, lots of support,” head coach Shannon Zinser said. “We had high energy and great team effort. Our serving was strong and strategic; we’ve been working hard to make that happen.”

Jenna Betts had 12 kills, Olivia Cook and Sabrina Chinavare had five kills each, Abby Mellish, Cook and Bailey Taylor had three aces each and Mellish also had 25 assists. Cook had 15 digs, Taylor had 12 digs and Kathyln Allmacher had 11 digs.

Clare hosts Farwell on Wednesday.
