Coleman pitches two shutouts in opener

The Coleman baseball team had an easy time with host Merrill in its season opener Tuesday night. The Comets, playing the Vandals in a Mid-State Activities Conference game won handily, 18-0 and 12-0.

In game one it was Spencer Pnacek getting the win, giving up just one hit.

The offense got two hits apiece from Pnacek, Jason Beckner, Carson Cotton and Karlos Moiser.

The winner in game two was Tyler Germain as he gave up one hit in four innings.

Beckner, Pnacek, Arnold, Moiser and James Oldham had one hit each in the contest.

Coleman (2-0 overall, 2-0 MSAC) hosted Meridian on Thursday, hosts Houghton Lake on Saturday and hosts Vestaburg on Tuesday.
