It was close, but Harrison wasn’t quite able to get ahead of host Gladwin on Thursday. The Lady Hornets, playing a Jack Pine Conference girls basketball game on the Lady Flying G’s home court, dropped the contest 55-49.

Alexys Carlstrom continued her strong season with another plus-30 night, finishing with 31 points. Sara Gillespie and Kayla Mogg had six points each, Jadyn Rouch netted four points and Elizabeth Lockhart chipped in with two.

Harrison (5-5 overall, 4-4 JPC) hosted Roscommon on Thursday, hosts Evart on Wednesday, hosts Clare Thursday and hosts Pinconning Feb. 11.
