Farwell closed out its football season at Beaverton on Friday, where the Eagles were handed a 42-0 Jack Pine Conference loss.
“We were missing a few players due to injuries and we came out flat,” Farwell head coach Ben Bryant said. “Beaverton did a good job of bringing pressure so that we had a difficult time passing.”

Brenden Smith led the Farwell offense with 11 carries for 54 yards, while Austin Maxey completed seven passes for 74 yards. Anthony Yonts had three receptions for 52 yards.

Maxey and Smith also had seven tackles apiece to lead the defense and Lucas Buccilli added six takedowns.
The Eagles finish the year 1-8 overall and 0-7 in the JPC.

“I am proud of this group of seniors and the work that they have put in,” Bryant said. “We are graduating a lot of guys, 13 out of our 20, so there will be some big shoes for our young guys to fill. I feel confident that this incoming group will be able to step right in since they have great attendance in the weight room and off season workouts.”
