time in its home league tilt with Gladwin on Friday however, falling 21-16.

The Flying G’s raced to a 21-0 lead by the half, but Farwell amped up its game in the final two frames.

Logan Wunderlich and Seth Hannah ran for a touchdown each in the second half, with the Eagles tacking on a two-point conversion after each as well.

The Eagles rushed for 295 yards and were led by John Cogswell with 127 yards.

Head coach Travis Waddell pointed out the play of Jay Thrush and Jacob Swarthout on defense.

“After giving up three scores in the first half, our boys held them scoreless in the second,” he said. “We had great offensive line play up front.”

Friday (1-2 overall, 0-2 JPC) hosts Beaverton (2-1, 2-0) tonight (Friday). The Beavers dropped a close week one game to a good Breckenridge squad but have since racked up wins against Roscommon and Houghton Lake.
