Visiting Evart swept away Harrison in straight sets on Tuesday night, topping the Hornets 25-22, 26-28, 25-20 and 25-19.
“The girls played well,” Harrison head coach Larry Flemming said. “We still did not get a match win but we did win a game. We were down by 12 points in the second game and came back to win. In the third game, we were on the way for another win.”
The coach added that Allison Lipovsky left the game with an injury, and though it’s nothing serious may miss extended time with injury.
“All the girls played really well even when they had to fill in to a spot she had not played since eighth grade,” Flemming said, pointing out Danielle Cullen as an example. “I was real pleased with the progress the girls made in a weeks time.”
Harrison (0-7) plays at Meridian on Wednesday and at the Northwood Invitational on Sept. 14.
