Visiting Houghton Lake took the brooms to the Farwell baseball team on Thursday, April 25, topping the Eagles 11-8 and 6-5 in a Jack Pine Conference doubleheader.
Curtis Robinson took the loss for Farwell in game one, pitching four 1/3 innings, giving up six runs, three earned on four hits, two strikeouts and five walks.
Trent Marhofer had two hits and an RBI to lead the Eagle offense, with Robinson and Clay Forfinski both adding one RBI.
The Eagles used four pitchers in game two, with Quincy Crawford striking out two batters.
Austin Hickey and Forfinski both had two hits with Hickey adding two RBI. Noah Wilson, Jordan Renner and Mandel Militello all had one hit with Renner also adding an RBI.
Farwell (1-4 overall, 0-4 JPC) played at Gladwin on Wednesday and plays at Merdian May 7.
