Lady Explorers take 17th at nationals

Midland Lady Explorers

The Midland Lady Explorers 10U team recently attended the NSA World Series near Indianapolis, Indiana after 10 months of hard work and determination. The girls finished the tournament in 17th place out of 44 teams. The following is a list of some of their other accomplishments for 2015 as the season sadly comes to an end:

February 13 & 14    Artic Blast Tournament (Auburn)        1st place
April 12            Round Robin Tournament (Owosso)        1st place
April 25-26        Early Bird Tournament (Potterville)        1st place
May 8-10        Riverbrawl Tournament (Auburn)        1st place
June 26-28        Cherry Capital Tournament (Traverse City)    3rd place
July 3-5            ASA State Finals    (Holland)            1st place
July 10-11        Line Drive Tournament (Midland)        1st place

(Team collectively batted over .500 and the pitching staff earned nearly 300 strike outs)
Tryouts for Coach Tressa Augustine’s 11-12 year old fast pitch team and others will take place on August 9th at 10:00 am or August 15th at 10:00 am at Optimist Park in Midland located at 821 Waldo Rd.
