up short in the contest, 44-31.

“We struggled to make shots, we only made 10-of-43 and they made 16-of-35,” head coach Gordie Risbridger said. “We have to make our shots to keep it close. We shot four-of-nine inside the lane, we can’t win ball games if we don’t make more of those shots.”

The Eagles led 9-3 after the first quarter but the Lady Bucks swung back and held Farwell without a bucket in the second to take a 14-9 lead at the half.

“When we don’t make shots we can’t get into our press and they made shots allowing them to get into their zone and we couldn’t score in transition,” Risbridger said. “We struggled with rebounding as well, getting out-rebounded 21-to-their 33.”

The Eagles pulled within 21-18 entering the fourth but Roscommon pulled away as the fourth rolled along.

“Roscommon has improved from the last time we played them but another factor that may come in play is playing them back-to-back after Harrison,” Risbridger said. “We had tired legs and that led to a number of poor statistics. We were up for Harrison and having to play the next night after a big win got to us.”

Farwell’s Hunter Sponseller (no. 12) and Aliyeh Wyatt (no. 34) double team a Roscommon player during last week’s home loss.
