On the evening of Saturday, February 8th, fun and fellowship were enjoyed by those gathered at the Doherty Hotel to support Catholic Christian education. The annual auction is the largest fundraiser organized by St Cecilia Catholic School Boosters. Many dedicated parents, staff, and alumni families spent hours, over days and weeks to organize, solicit donations, advertise and prepare for the annual occasion. Over 150 people attended the event, which included a raffle, games, dinner and a silent and live auction.
Colt Johnson, a recent graduate of St. Cecilia Catholic School was the auctioneer, assisted by his uncle, John McConnell. Highlights included Linda Dawson’s winning of an iPad Tablet in the hilarious Heads & Tails game and the exciting announcements of the winners of the Auction Raffle! First place winner was Tahlia D’Haillecourt, winning $5000; the 2nd place winner of $500 worth of gas & groceries was Jeanette Markey, and 3rd place winner, Jay Carrier, won a $250 Visa Gift Card. The biggest winners were the St. Cecilia school children. St. Cecilia School, established in 1950, continues to offer an exceptional educational environment for children grades Preschool through Fourth grade.
