McLaren Central Michigan is pleased to welcome Kevin Stempky, OT, occupational therapist, as a member
of the Rehabilitation Services staff. Stempky, a Mt. Pleasant resident, has 16 years of experience in occupational therapy, and works with adult and geriatric patients with all diagnoses, injuries, and surgeries to reduce pain, and improve strength and range of motion in the upper extremities. He also has extensive experience with hand splinting, manual therapy, and ergonomics. Stempky provides occupational therapy services in both the home care and outpatient settings.
“McLaren Central Michigan is an organization with a strong background in providing the highest quality health care to the local community,” Stempky said. “I wanted to be part of that.”
Stempky, a Rogers City native, moved to the Mt. Pleasant area two years ago, and since then has become actively involved in the Sacred Heart Parish, and in Mt. Pleasant’s youth baseball and hockey leagues.
“I became an OT to make a difference in people’s lives,” Stempky said. “I love being able to see someone gain the ability and confidence to overcome an injury or illness and get back to independence.”
Stempky and his wife, Jennifer, also an occupational therapist, have been married for 11 years, and have a 9-year-old daughter and a 6-year-old son.
In his free time, Stempky enjoys playing all types of sports, hunting, fishing and outdoor activities with his family.
Stempky’s office is located in McLaren Central Michigan’s Rehabilitation Services department on the first floor of Wellness Central, 2600 Three Leaves Drive in Mt. Pleasant. Appointments can be made by calling (989) 779-5604.
