Since 1964 thousands of Michigan students have attended Young People’s Citizenship Seminar (YPCS), sponsored by Michigan Farm Bureau, to learn about the democratic political process and how to become informed, active citizens.

The interactive conference, held June 24-27 at Northwood University in Midland, offered students a weeklong, interactive political workshop culminating in a mock election. Students were able to vote in actual elections, run for office, and participate in rallies.

Dean Schunk, Nathan Davis, Devon Poet, and Michael MacFalda, members of Clare County Farm Bureau, attended this year’s seminar.
