Summer Reading at the library

The Summer Reading Program at the Pere Marquette District Library was a great success this year! Thanks to a grant from the Michigan Council of Arts and Cultural Affairs and Art Reach of Mid-Michigan, they were able to offer programs each week for families and teens throughout the summer. Patrons enjoyed making stepping stones, interacting with live animals, playing Minecraft and other games, watching movies, reading stories, and much more.

In addition to the activities offered, they also gave out plenty of prizes for all the reading that kids did this summer, thanks to generous donations from organizations in the community.

Congratulations go out to this summer’s Grand Prize winners, Drew Balbough and Kaleb Schroeder.
