On Saturday, August 11, 2012, the staff at Tendercare Midland and Tendercare Clare received a request from Brittany Manor to temporarily accommodate almost 40 of their patients due to a fire at their center. The staff responded quickly to ensure the safe transfer of the patients and made the arrangements necessary to meet their individual needs. All patients have been relocated and are resting comfortably at Tendercare.
“Within minutes of being notified, our staff cancelled their weekend plans and headed into the center to help out. The staffs at our centers are to be commended for their efforts on behalf of these patients and the community. The end result was a smooth and orderly transition. I am extremely proud of the staff,” stated Pete Brogger, Regional Director of Operations for the Tendercare centers. We are proud to be able to assist our fellow health care providers in their time of need and are pleased that the transition to our centers has gone smoothly.
