Three face burglary charges in Isabella, Clare Counties

A Weidman man and two men from Mt. Pleasant have been arrested in connection with a three-month series of break-ins and burglaries in Isabella and Clare Counties.

Chad Steven Rodriguez, 33, of Weidman; Ronald Raymond Pingilley, 48 of Mt. Pleasant; and Robert Lyle Keller Jr., 19 of Mt. Pleasant have all been charged in Isabella County with the theft of farm tractors, a horse trailer and several gooseneck trailers, Chicken incubators and nests, a 200-gallon tank sprayer, two boats and other items according to a press release from Isabella County Sheriff Leo Mioduszewski. “Stolen property recovered from thefts in Clare County was turned over to the Clare County Sheriff’s Department for prosecution in Clare County,” he said.

The thefts happened in the western side of Isabella County in Coldwater, Deerfield, Gilmore and Sherman Townships and in Clare County between October 6 and December 6. The investigation was handled by Detective Dale Heugel. Mioduszewski said, “Heugel did an exceptional job in putting the case together. He started with very little information and through hard work and surveillance, was able to put a very strong case together.”

Rodriguez has been charged with two counts of Breaking and Entering and two counts of Larceny. His bond was set at $50,000.

Pingilley was charged with one count of Breaking and Entering and one of Larceny. His bond was set at $25,000/ten percent cash/surety.

Keller faces two charges of Breaking and Entering and two counts of Larceny. His bond was set at $8,000/ten percent cash/surety.
