10-2-15 Timmy's ride donation

Timmy’s Ride donated $2,500 to the Big R & Smokin Joe Benefit for Hospice House.  Timmy’s Ride is an annual event sponsored by the Clare-Farwell American Legion Post 558.  Timmy’s Ride had a full busload (56 passengers) and 20 Motorcycles from the American Legion Riders on September 12.  Timmy’s Ride starts out at Post 558 and makes 4-5 “mystery” stops during the day.  This year the first stop was the Officer’s Club at Camp Grayling; it was a memorable experience for all involved.

Timmy’s Ride is in honor of Timmy Mulrenin, a member of the Sons of the American Legion, who lost his life to brain cancer in 2014.  Timmy’s impact on Post 558 and others who knew him was so powerful that The Ride was organized to keep Timmy’s spirit alive.  Next year’s ride will be in late August or early September; everyone is welcome to participate.  Pictured in the photo are Timmy’s parents Carolyn (on the left) and Bob (on the right).  In the center receiving the donation is Big R (Randy Easlick).
