A 40-year-old Farwell man, Jaime Jay Kleinhardt, was arrested on drug charges Tuesday evening during a routine traffic stop on Ludington Drive near Beaver Road in Grant Township.
Deputies from the Clare County Sheriff’s office who had stopped the vehicle discovered a “large quantity of Marijuana” inside the vehicle and a loaded handgun, which Kleinhardt had a concealed license for.
The investigation led to a search warrant at Kleinhardt’s residence in the 600 block of East Ludington Drive in Farwell, where Deputies discovered and seized mature marijuana plants, processed marijuana, numerous firearms, scales, body armor and ammunition.
Kleinhardt was taken to the Clare County Jail and arraigned Wednesday afternoon on  one charge of controlled substance – delivery/manufacture of marijuana and one charge of felony firearms weapons.
His bond was set at $3,000/ten percent.
He remains lodged at the jail.
