Truck hits ambulance, closes M-115

M-115 was closed for several hours after a 2001 ford truck crossed the center line and hit an oncoming ambulance last Thursday.

According to a release from the Michigan State Police, the accident happened around 4:42 p.m. March 24 when a 2001 ford truck driven north-west by a 49-year-old Manton man crossed the center line and hit a North Flight Ambulance traveling south-east near the intersection of Lake Station.
The Manton man was taken to a Cadillac Hospital with a non-life threatening injury.
The driver, passenger and patient in the back of the ambulance were not injured.

Michigan State Police were assisted at the scene by the Clare County Sheriff’s Department, Mobile Medical Response Ambulance Service, Lincoln Fire Department and Lincoln Rescue.
The crash investigation took several hours, the MSP release said.
