Two arrested for $25K theft

A Cadillac teen was arrested last Friday on larceny charges after he, with the help of a 35, year-old Lake woman , allegedly brook into a pole barn in Surrey Township and stole $25,000 worth of tools, according to a report by the owner.

Sheriff Detectives interviewed two suspects and were able to recover a large amount of the items that were stolen. Chance Hubble, 17, of Cadillac, was arrested on December 6 and Averill Dintaman, of Lake, was arrested after further investigation for her involvement in the crime. Hubble and Dintaman were both arraigned Monday in 80th District Court by Magistrate Karen Willing.

Hubble was charged with Larceny in a Building and Breaking and Entering With Intent. His bond was set at $10,000/ ten percent.

Dintaman was arraigned on charges of Aiding and Abetting After the Fact; Obstructing and Resisting; and Obstructing Police. Her bond was set at $5,000/ ten percent.

Dintaman has posted bond. Hubble remains lodged at the Clare County Jail.
