Two-car accident on U.S. 127 injures one

Clare County Deputies responded to many accidents January 24th including vehicles sliding off the road and rollovers due to drivers traveling too fast for weather conditions.

A two-car accident at 6:25 p.m. U.S. 127 near the westbound U.S. 10 entrance ramp injured a Mesick man, Gabriel Raden, 31, who was northbound when he hit snow in the median causing him to lose control. Raden’s vehicle crossed in front of a pickup, driven by Frank Nerchel, 31 of Howard City. Nerchel was also northbound and the two vehicles collided. Raden was slightly injured. He refused medical treatment for a head laceration, Deputies said.

Clare County deputies were assisted at the scene by the Clare Fire Department and Mobile Medical Response.
