Clare County Deputies responded to many accidents January 24th including vehicles sliding off the road and rollovers due to drivers traveling too fast for weather conditions.

A two-car accident at 6:25 p.m. U.S. 127 near the westbound U.S. 10 entrance ramp injured a Mesick man, Gabriel Raden, 31, who was northbound when he hit snow in the median causing him to lose control. Raden’s vehicle crossed in front of a pickup, driven by Frank Nerchel, 31 of Howard City. Nerchel was also northbound and the two vehicles collided. Raden was slightly injured. He refused medical treatment for a head laceration, Deputies said.

Clare County deputies were assisted at the scene by the Clare Fire Department and Mobile Medical Response.
