United Way Adds Three New Board Members

Clare and Gladwin Counties, The Clare-Gladwin United Way welcomes three new board members to its team. The newly elected board members are Lacey Cameron, Lori Fassett and Jamie Renner.

“We are so honored to have such a dynamic and talented group of individuals join our United Way board, said Executive Director Sarah Block of United Way of Clare and Gladwin Counties. Each brings a different skill set that I believe will truly further us in our efforts to better serve our communities. Welcome all!”

Lacey Cameron lives in Gladwin County with her husband, Jamie Cameron. She graduated from Gladwin High School and earned a degree from Michigan State University. Cameron works for Hemlock Semiconductor Operations. She is looking forward to becoming more involved in the local communities.

“We are extremely lucky to have Lacey join our United Way board and fill the position of vice president, said Board President Jane Zdrojewski of United Way of Clare and Gladwin Counties. Her lifelong connection to Gladwin County runs deep and her professional background make her a great fit to represent our communities.”

Lori Fassett lives in Clare with her husband, Jeremy and son, Alex. She also has a daughter who lives in Grand Rapids. Fassett is the associate VP of human resources at Mid Michigan College and serves as secretary for the Clare Kiwanis. She is a member of the Michigan National Guard where she ranks as Captain and Company Commander for the 1071st Support Maintenance Company at Camp Grayling. Fassett is also a member of Clare-Farwell American Legion Post 558. She is excited to be on a team that supports making a difference in the community.

“With Lori’s experience in leadership, we are pleased that she has joined our United Way board, Zdrojewski said. She has already made significant contributions in the organization as it relates to training, growth and personnel policies for our staff.”

Jamie Renner resides in Clare with her husband, Jared, and their two children, Lena and Lane.

She was raised in Gladwin County and graduated from Central Michigan University. Renner works at GreenStone Farm Credit Services as a licensed real estate appraiser. She specializes in dairy facilities and orchards throughout Northern and Central Michigan. Renner served as the appraisal group manager where she was responsible for the training and

management of staff. She is a member at the Michigan chapter of the American Society of Farm Managers and Rural Appraisers and served as the past president on the Education Committee. She participates in Clare County 4-H, coaches youth basketball and enjoys reading, camping and traveling in her free time.

“Jamie brings a unique background to the United Way board because she grew up in Gladwin County and has strong roots there while currently residing in Clare where she has also established strong roots, said Zdrojewski. She will be a real asset to the board.”
