The Vietnam Veterans of America 1047 hosted their 3rd Annual “Welcome Home Vietnam Veterans Day” on March 30, 2014. The event was hosted in Harrison at the American Legion Post. It started around 10:00 am and lasted all day with many events throughout the day to welcome home the Vietnam Veterans and honor all other service era veterans.

Coffee hour started at 10:00 am, posting colors was at 11:00 am, and there were guest speakers, free lunch, a bake sale, welcome home pins, coins and ball caps on sale, raffles for donated items and DJ music. Veterans and people who support veterans all gathered together to honor our veterans and say welcome home and thank you. All funds went to VVA 1047 of Harrison for veterans in need.
