A Weidman couple, both employees at a Farwell bar, were arrested for obstructing police and disorderly conduct New Year’s Day.

According to  a release from Sgt. Joshua Lator of the Mt. Pleasant State Police, troopers were called to assist the Clare County Sheriff’s Department with the investigation of a fight at a bar.

An investigation let troopers to a second bar in Farwell, where two employees, 41 year-old Trevor Raglin and 38 year-old Julie Raglin, were arrested after a subsequent Liquor Inspection by State Police. Trevor was arraigned in 80th District Court on charges of resisting arrest (obstructing police) and disorderly conduct. Julie was charged with resisting arrest. Both have posted bond and been released according to Assistant Clare County Jail Administrator Sgt. Lisa Smith.

Both employees were found to be under the influence of alcohol while working, which is prohibited by State law.

The bar’s Liquor Law violations were reported to the Liquor Control Commission and the bar, reportedly the Rockwood, was closed for the night.
