The Clare high school stage productions class is proud to present the comedy, “Who’s in Charge? Or Rodney the Ultimate Gift to Theatre” at the Clare middle school auditorium on Saturday, December 14, 2013 at 7:00 pm, and Sunday, December 15, 2013 at 2:00 pm. Admission to this production is simply a donation at the door. We look forward to seeing you there!

The Jacksonville high school drama class is turned upside down when their teacher/director Mr. Wilson (Dalton Wardel-Cipoletti), accidentally falls off the stage and breaks both of his arms and legs, but, as the saying goes, “the show must go on!” An emergency staff meeting is called by Principal Laura Langon (Kyrsten Kruskamp) so that a replacement can be found.

When no one steps forward to help out, the football coach (Kenny Smith) “wins” the staff lottery and takes over the directing duties. The only problem is that he knows nothing about theatre! Josi (Natalie Fedewa), the janitor, comes to the rescue claiming to know a lot about putting on a play because she watches rehearsals while she cleans the auditorium. The two of them come up with a “game plan” to bring Shakespeare’s “Pryamis and Thisbe” to the stage.

When students Ginger (Robyn Stanley), Jamie (Raven Phalen-Price) and Katie (Amanda Yats) hear that the show is going on without Mr. Wilson, they immediately seek out Rodney (Bean Ramos), the “ultimate gift to theatre”, and implore him to try out for the part of Pyramis. The show will take you through the audition process, training camp/rehearsals, and the most unusual performance of “Pyramis and Thisbe” ever to hit the field…er…stage. With the cheerleaders, sports announcers, referees, and marching band this is one “Shakespeare” performance you don’t want to miss!

Rounding out the talented cast are Devin Ayers, Steven Bentley, Alyssa Boberg, Krystle Figgins, Jocy Fogle, Danielle Foley, Braxton Gomez, Grant Good, Bob Green, Jordan Gross, Victoria Harper, Seth Harton, Nick Montini, Ashley Randall, Anna Schworer, Ryan Seiter, and Travis Walton. The production is written by Travis Walton.
