A 30-year-old Lake woman was seriously injured May 9 when the vehicle she was driving became stuck and she attempted to push it.
Tanya Culver’s tan Ford was stuck in the roadway on an incline in the area of Crooked Lake and Cook Avenue, Deputies discovered.
When she attempted to get out of the vehicle to push it, one of her two minor children, who were also in the vehicle, accidentally put the car in reverse and it rolled over Culver, causing injuries to her arm and multiple lacerations. The accident happened around 7 a.m., Deputies said.
The vehicle then rolled into the lake. It was pulled out by emergency personnel.
Culver was taken to MidMichigan Medical Center in Midland for treatment.
The Clare County Sheriff’s Department was assisted at the scene by Garfield Township Fire Department and Mobile Medical Ambulance Service.
In an update Wednesday, Undersheriff Dwayne Miedzianowski said Culver is still in the Midland Hospital receiving treatment.
