Farwell is still looking for that elusive Jack Pine Conference win, however the Eagles are still showing plenty of signs of progress, despite Friday’s 57-20 loss at Roscommon.

“We had trouble matching up with their speed in the first half, but played better in the second half,” head coach Travis Waddell said. “I was proud of our young men. I feel we are getting better and moving in the right direction. We played a good team and kept battling.”

Seth Hannah led the offense with 112 yards and two touchdowns on the ground. Rick Johnson scored the team’s other touchdown. Defensive standouts, according to Waddell were Hannah and Jacob Swarthout.

“We challenged our offensive line this week and they played well,” he said. “Offensively we were able to sustain some drives and move the football.”

Farwell (1-4 overall, 0-4 JPC) hosts Harrison (2-3, 2-2) this week. The Hornets are coming off a 21-0 loss to Beaverton.
